* * * This is now my second piece of work from Jo Harrison at her Modern Body Art studio in Birmingham (see the previous page for the left tribal sleeve) As before, Jo had me look through several of her designs and art books - and identify to her the sorts of designs that I liked. I had already had an idea of two dragons fighting over a flaming pearl - which Jo liked the sound of - so she took a tracing of my arm, and went to work on designing the piece. (She did have some stunning ideas for patches of cloud parting to reveal pagodas and temples - but since I'm not *that* big, she ran out of space and had to leave those out...!). The final design features the twin dragons, together with peonies and cherry blossom, wound through with negative "wind" (and also cleverly incorporates a small cover-up on my upper arm). The whole is by far the most complex and detailed design I have had so far, and is going to look stunning when complete. As before, below are some pics of the sleeve in progress... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() * * * |
